IRS Tax Issues: Late Filing, Need to Settle Your Tax Debt, or both?

I represent U.S. taxpayers from all over the world and help them with tax and or IRS problems. Has the IRS come calling? If they haven't but you are behind in filing tax returns or if you owe the IRS then it is just a matter of time. The IRS is targeting over 7 million taxpayers that have not filed tax returns and they have a initiative to target these non-filers and those who owe back taxes. In other cases taxpayers who owe back taxes are having their passports revoked.

The willful failure to file a tax return is a federal crime under IRS code section 7203.

If you are behind in filing your tax returns what do you need to do? If you have not filed because you are afraid of how much owe and your ability to pay the amount due, then I can help you file those returns and begin working on a tax resolution for you to resolve the back tax issue, including possibly an Offer-In-Compromise, an Installment Agreement, or have your account placed in an uncollectible status.

If you or someone you know has unfiled tax returns or some other federal or state tax issue please feel free to contact me using my information below.

Be careful when reading about tax law and its application, including my articles, because the wording and definitions are such a challenge and are influenced by writers perspective, specifically his own clients situations that he is mindful of and other situations the writer is not thinking of. The point is talk to your CPA about your situation and circumstances and don't rely on or make conclusions based on articles you read, including articles form irs.gov, because concepts and definitions are not very clear, and of course, they are subject to change. Now is the time to be having discussions about your situation and developing strategies for you and your business. Again, contact me using my information above to discuss your situation. I help business owners all over the U.S. and in foreign countries with their tax returns.
